St. Apollonia, original stained glass window designed and executed by Dr. Katherine King, is the Patron Saint of dentistry. She was tortured and martyred in c.249 in Alexandria Egypt. After her teeth were broken with pincers, she was given the choice of renouncing her faith or being burned alive. She chose the later by leaping into the fire herself. She is most often depicted holding pincers and a gilded tooth. This art work is displayed in the dental practice of Drs. King, Connelley and Lancaster.
